We are located in Auburn, AL., and we are currently hiring for the following positions: Job title: Production Management Specialist Summary: Directs and coordinates activities concerned with inventory control/appraisal, purchasing orders to LP suppliers, drafting work processes, and manuals and training, claiming for quality and quantity differential by performing the following duties personally or through Team Members. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.) 1. Participate in inventory management, counting and appraisal processes. 2. Assist with development of inventory procedures, and maintain the records. 3. Monitor supplies on scheduling to ensure manufacturing and delivery requirements are maintained timely and properly. 4. Ensure that shipping specifications are followed by suppliers and shippers. 5. Prepare daily receiving report, to check status on material purchases. 6. In case of LP parts, assist management and suppliers for the purpose of providing information and facilitating the purchasing process. 7. Respond to and make inquiries for the purpose of resolving issues like claims, change of terms or rates, referring to appropriate parties. 8. Compile data from a wide variety of sources for the purpose of analyzing issues, and monitoring program components. Education and/or experience: Bachelor's degree, or six months to one year related experience and/ or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Job title: Purchasing Specialist Summary: Directs or coordinates the purchasing activity by performing the following duties personally or through department supervisors and managers. Examines existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet parts purchasing and customer needs. Essential duties and responsibilities: 1. Consults with Team Members to develop specifications; makes recommendations regarding purchases. 2. Compares prices amongst various vendors in order to make sound purchasing decisions. 3. Ensures that products are delivered in a timely manner, and that the quality of the goods received are satisfactory. 4. Orders goods, such as office supplies on a continuing basis, in order to maintain certain inventory levels. 5. Checks invoices for accuracy; authorizes the accounts payable dept. to issue a payment. 6. Prepares, processes, and stores purchasing requests/purchasing orders. 7. Contacts and receives informal quotes from appropriate vendors. 8. Enters data concerning inventory into a computer database and assists in the maintenance of that data.
