Georgia에 소재한 학교에서 J-1만료후 H1b로 비자를 받았습니다. H1b를 받은 몇 개월 후 Texas에 있는 학교로 옮겼습니다만, 개인적인 사유로 전에 있는 학교로 돌아 가고 싶은데 전에 비자를 받은 동일한 한교에서 offer를 받으면 새로 H1b 비자를 받지 않고도 transfer가 가능한지 궁금합니다.

학교에서 sponsor한 H-1b는 사람을 따라가는것이 아니라, 일하는 소재지에 한하는것이기 때문에 학교를 옮기면 새로운 H-1b를 받아야 되는것 아닌가 싶습니다. 혹시 제가 잘못 알고 있는거라면 알려 주세요.

H-1B 비자를 다시 받지 않고도 transfer 이 가능 합니다.

Texas에 있는 학교로 옮길때 새로운 petition을 이민국에 접수하여 transfer하셨다면 전에 있던 학교로 돌아가기 위해서는 다시 petition을 이민국에 접수하셔야 합니다.
