아래와 같이 상원의원이 홀드 하긴했는데…홀드 풀리긴 어렵겠죠…?

제가 알기로는 60명 이상의 상원의원이 홀드에 반대해야 상원에서 다루어질 수 있다고 하는데 사실 60명 이상의 상원의원이 미쳤다고 이런 불경기랑 High Unemployment 시기에 이 법원 통과시킬려고 홀드 풀라고 투표 하진 않을 것 같고 그렇길 기도-기독교, 절 – 불교, 음….그 밖에 암 종교나 다 같이 ~~ 빌어봅시다…

홀드 풀려고 60명 모아야지 모아서 BIll통과 시켜야지 적어도 내 후년 까지 쭉 이슈만 되다가 그담에 사라지길…..

위 글은 HR 3012홀드 했다는 글입니다.

여기서 intend는 님이 말한 “홀드 하려한다” 로 쓰인게 아니라 HR 3012 통과에 반대를 하려한다 그래서 홀드 한다는 내용의 글입니다.

님 혹시 한국 말 하는 인도,,중국..??

제 생각에는 저 문장만 그대로 읽으면
” 진행중인 수정할 HR 3012 법안에 반대하려한다”
까지만 나와 있는지 그래서 HOLD했다는 문장이 어디에 있는지…
님처럼 홀드 된 사실을 모르고 저 문장을 읽거나 미국의 법안 처리 체계를
모른다면(반대전에 hold) 저처럼 이해할 수 밖에 없지 않을까요?
님이 영어를 잘못 이해한다고 지적하는게 아니라 앞뒤사정 모르면 그럴수도 있으니
이해바랍니다. 전 영어 그리 전문가는 아니지만 자세히 독해해라..연구해라..

I am a physician from India and I am current in EB2 category. My PD is July 30 2007. I am in favor of the HR 3012 bill. I just called up the Senate Judiciary Committee office in DC and spoke with a person/assistant (whose name I personally would not like to disclose). He explained to me the whole process of a bill passing through the committee.

Every Senator has a right to place a hold on a bill unlike the House. Senator Grassley has placed a hold on S 1857 bill. The Committee is currently discussing this bill. However, Senator Grassley is NOT the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary COmmittee. He is a RANKING MEMBER. Therefore, the Chairman reserves the right to still hold a voting on this bill and thus the bill can still pass the Judiciary Committee even if Senator Grassley has placed a hold. Also, as the sponsor of the bill is Senator Lee, a fellow republican as Senator Grassley, it is highly unlikely that this bill will be rejected by Senate Judiciary Committee. Senator Grassley will be most likely given a deadine to voice his concerns and provide his amendments.
