저는 현재 대학연구소(비영리)에서 H-1B비자를 받아서 2015년 11월부터 근무중입니다.
작년(2018년)에 비자연장승인을 받아서 2021년 10월까지 연장되었습니다
(저의 배우자도 저와 동시에 H-4를 받아 연장된 상태입니다).
그런데 최근 연구소 펀드사정이 좋지 않아서 5월말 퇴사를 권고받았고,
새로운 스펀서(대학연구소)를 찾아서 오퍼를 받은상태입니다.

새로 옮기는 곳에서 현재 H-1B청원신청을 준비하고 있고, 최근에 아래와 같은 내용과 함께
H4 dependent application을 위해 I-539와 I-539a를 작성해서 보내라는 메일을 받았습니다.
“As a courtesy to H-1B beneficiaries, FSVS will include dependent H-4 applications for a change or extension of status with USC’s H-1B petition for concurrent filing.”

질문은 다음과 같습니다.

1. I-539 작성시 Part I. Information about You에는 누구의 정보를 넣는 것인가요 (저 or 배우자)?
대부분 인터넷 정보에서는 배우자의 정보를 넣으라고 되어있는데, I-539 instruction에 이는 내용을 보면,
아래와 같은 내용이 있어, I-539의 주신청인이 제가되고 I-593a에 배우자의 정보를 넣어야 되는 것같은데,
제가 잘못 이해한것 같기도 하고 잘 모르겠습니다. 도움을 받을 수 있을까요?

You may include your spouse and your unmarried children under 21 years of age as co-applicants in your application for the same extension or change of status, but only if you are all now in the same status or they are all in derivative status. You must complete Form I-539A for each person that you want to include on your application. If you need additional space, you may print additional copies of the Form I-539A to complete for additional co-applicants.

2. Part 2. Application Type.
-I am applying for 여기선 어떤 항목을 선택해야하나요? 신분변경이나 학생이 아니니 연장같긴한데,,,ㅠㅠ
-Number of people included in this application, I-539작성 대상자가 저라면 2명일것같고, 배우자가 대상자면 1명일것같은데 첫 첫 질문에서 막히니 모든게 오리무중이네요ㅠㅠㅠ

3. Part3. Processing Information
-Is this application based on an extension or change of status already granted to your spouse, child, or parent? Yes or No.
-Is this application based on a separate petition or application to provide your spouse, child, or parent an extension or change of status? Yes or No.
위 두 질문 중 첫번째 질문에 No, 두번째는 Yes, filed with this Form I-539를 선택했는데 맞는건가요?
