저랑 같이 h-1b기다리고 있는데 회사동료는 석사졸업이라 빨리 서류가 진행된것 같습니다. 그런데 하루차이로 승인과 거절 메일을 동시에 받았습니다.
그래서 동료가 물어봐달라고 해서 올립니다.
저도 기다리고 있는데 점점 더 불안해지네요.

Hi,
I applied for a change of status from F1 (currently on OPT) to H1. I traveled abroad  when my application was in process as I had a valid OPT and had a full time job. I received two notices (1) my H1 B approval notice (dated sep 28) and (2) notice that my application was rejected (dated sep 29) as I was out of US when my application was still pending . The online status of application still shows Approved and notice mailed. My OPT expires in Nov 2011. Has my status changed to H1 B or not?? what do I do??

I really need help with this as my application was filed by someone from the HR dept…they have no idea about the situation either.. 

H-1B에는 고용주의 petition과 beneficiary의 신분변경 신청의 두 가지 action이 들어 있습니다.

올리신 질문만을 가지고 생각해 볼 수 있는 가장 높은 가능성은, petition은 approved, 신분변경신청은 (pending 중 해외 체류 중이라는 이유로) rejected 인 듯 합니다.

Approval Notice를 받아 보면 정확히 알 수 있습니다.
