[Job Description]

Dispatch Management Responsibilities

Scheduling and dispatching drivers, work crews, vehicles or equipment to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needs
Relaying information such as work orders or other messages to and from work crews, field inspectors, supervisors or emergency personnel
Using telephones or text messages to contact employees or emergency personnel
Speaking with supervisors or customers to resolve problems, requests for services or equipment
Preparing daily work such as schedules
Preparing work orders for crew or receiving work orders from work crews
Being in charge of communications within company assigned territories
Keeping and organizing work requests, customer requests, completed work requests, charges for work performed, expenses for services performed, inventory records and other information
Safety Management Responsibilities

The Safety Manager is responsible for the fleet’s overall safety and regulatory compliance by monitoring all safety programs including all FMCSA/DOT guidelines and regulations, measuring and influencing key safety performance metrics, developing programs, implementing and creating corrective action plans
This position requires a high level of interaction with operations management and fleet drivers to ensure success
Has a positive attitude and provides courteous, friendly service to all internal team members and external customers, by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries and requests
Responsible for maintenance and facilitation of driver qualifications, training, ELD, on board cameras, and other safety programs
Ensure your carrier is compliant with all DOT, FMCSA, OSHA and other state and federal regulations and guidelines
Track driver log exception processing and on point-of-contact for compliance
Provides oversight into DOT inspections and citation processing to ensure compliance
Identify processes that are potential compliance issues and work with internal management to provide corrective actions
Track accidents and injuries identify trends and create programs and solutions for prevention
Keep current on any changes to regulatory requirements and inform management accordingly
Communicate with drivers regarding core safety principles and accident avoidance both in the workplace and over the road
Responsible for operational contributions to maximize profitability, cost control and overall improvement efficiency
Identify, evaluate and build new business opportunities; provide guidance on operational changes required to support these opportunities
The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, phones, filing cabinets and fax machines.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to travel, stand and walk for extended periods of time
