Title: Cost Accountant
Employment Type:  Full–time, Exempt

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Participate in monthly cost accounting close process.
• Analyze and reconcile monthly sub-ledger activity related to inventory.
• Maintain and update standard cost modules.
• Ensure timely process of product cost roll-up.
• Provide analysis and reporting for Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and manufacturing variances.
• Perform capital spend plans and capital appropriation request process (CAR).
• Support budgeting process for manufacturing.
• Provide strategy for setting intra-company transfer pricing.
• Work closely with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP & A), manufacturing and operations to resolve issues on cost and inventory.
• Identify and implement continuous cost improvement opportunities.
• Compile product costs including direct labor, raw materials, and overhead on a semi-annual basis and sign off on final costing.
• Assist the accounting team with GL and other ad-hoc projects as needed.
• Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventory process.
• Strong attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Self-starter with ability to multi-task, work with flexibility, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting concepts, practices, procedures and systems.

Requirements:
 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a similar field
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (report formatting with automation/macros, data mining, functions)
• SAP (FI, CO, MM modules) proficiency a plus
• Large Company / Corporation Experience (High volume transactions) a plus
• Ability to multi-task and work within deadlines required
• Excellent team working abilities
• Careful attention to detail, accurate required
• Bilingual preferred (English and Korean)
