Construction Management Intern

GD Innovation Inc. is seeking a highly talented Intern to be assigned to a project site in Los Angeles County and Orange County. This internship will be a great opportunity to accumulate work experience in both aspect of project management and site supervision in commercial construction industry.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Work with the field superintendents to assist with manpower counts and retrieve daily reports

+ Prepare daily reports, job diaries, narratives, and all other regular and special documentation as determined by the company and by the project needs.

+ Lead safety meeting and perform safety and quality control reviews and address safety concerns as they arise.

+ Utilize 3-week look ahead schedules to ensure on-time completion of project.

+ Direct all field staff to guarantee projects are completed safely, on-time, within budget, and with high quality results.

+ Work with the project managers to post RFI and document changes

+ Assist the project managers with subcontractor deliverables including submittals, pricing requests and payment applications

+ Clear communication for on-site coordination of all teams and trades.

Minimum Requirements

+ Currently enrolled in University program in Construction Management, Civil or Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

+ Ability to organize required resources to meet deadlines and achieve high-quality results.

+ Strong technical capabilities and experience using software systems including Microsoft Office.

+ Excellent communication skills.

+ Strong leadership and management qualities.

+ Strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to consistently meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

+ Ability to read Construction Blueprint

+ Quantity Take-off

+ AutoCAD

+ Speaking Multiple Language (Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and etc)
