작년 6월에 한 칼리지에 조교수 임용편지를 받고 차일 피일 미루다가, 영주권 신청을 하려다 보니 광고를 따로 하지 않으려면 임용편지 받은지 18개월이내 해야 된다고 하네요. 현재 16개월이 다되어가는데 현재 저의 학교에는 외국인 교수도 그리 많지 않고 또 외국인 영주권 절차시스템도 별로 익숙해 하지 않은 것 같아, 제가 서류를 준비하고 싸인을 받는 형식으로 진행해야 할 것 같습니다. 물론 변호사도 의뢰해 볼까 했지만 예전에 별로 안 좋은 경험이 있어 그냥 제가 준비하고 있습니다. 그리고 예전 학교에서 광고한 것과 모든 임용과정, 그리고 제 서류에 대한 준비한 파일도 다 정리되있어 그냥 제가 하는 것이 빠를 것 같아서 제가 하고 있는데 한가지 정확하게 알고 싶은 게 있어 아시는 분께서 도움을 주시면 진심으로 감사 드리겠습니다. 특별히 “나도 날 몰라”님 어제 답변주셔서 다시한번 감사드립니다. LC 지원하기 30일에서 180일 사이에 “Notice of Filing”을 학교 인터넷과 내부에 공고를 해야 하는데 다음과 같은 샘플 파일을 찾았습니다.

Date:________________물론 이 샘플이 학교 교수 모집 형식과 다르지만 여기서 제가 알고 싶은 건 College Teacher인 경우 Rate of Pay를 포함안시켜도 된다고 노동청 게시판에 나와있지만 또 어떤 다른 부분에 보면 특히 인터넷 공고에는 받드시 포함해야 한다는 말이 있습니다. 노동청 FAQ 10 에 보면”In every case, the Notice of Filing that is posted to the employer’s in-house media must state the rate of pay.” 모든경우에 Pay 정보를 포함해야 한다고 하고 또 FAQ 2에 보면 “A rate of pay does not need to be included in a Notice of Filing for an application filed on behalf of a college or university teacher selected in a competitve selection and recuritment process.” 칼리지 teacher 공고는 pay 정보를 포함하지 않아도 된다고 하고 있습니다. 혹시 경험있으신 분이나 알고 계시는 분 부탁드립니다. 그리고 저는 현재 오하이오에 살고 있는데 certifying office 주소 정보도 제 각각이네요. 노동청 계시판에는 Perm인 경우에는 모두 조지아주 아틀란타로 기재해야 된다고 하고, FAQ란에는 지역에 따라서 다른데 오하이오는 시카고 주소를 기재해야 된다고 하네요. 혹시 오하이오인 경우 어떤 certifying officer 주소를 Notice of Filing 에 포함시켜야 하는지 알려주시면 감사드리겠습니다. 답변 꼭 부탁드립니다.
