This position will oversee quality assurance and quality control activities throughout the production lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, customer requirements, and company policies. Key Responsibilities: Quality Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management strategy aligned with organizational goals. Establish quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure manufacturing performance and drive continuous improvement. Leadership & Team Management: Lead and coach a team of quality assurance professionals to create a culture of quality and excellence throughout the organization. Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, supply chain) to ensure quality is embedded in all operational processes. Quality Assurance: Oversee the development and execution of quality control processes, standards, and metrics. Ensure all products manufactured meet or exceed customer and regulatory quality standards, including ISO/TS 16949 or equivalent certification. Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve process efficiency and reduce defects. Drive problem solving programs and root cause analysis to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. Supplier Quality Management: Work with the procurement team to evaluate and manage supplier quality performance and conduct audits and development projects as needed. Establish and maintain quality specifications for raw materials and components purchased from suppliers. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and company policies related to manufacturing quality. Identify potential quality risks and develop mitigation plans to proactively address these risks. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit regular quality performance reports to senior management, including trends, issues and initiatives. Maintain comprehensive documentation of all quality-related procedures, training programs and audit results. Customer Focus: Communicate with customers to understand their quality expectations and feedback and use this information to drive improvements. Handle customer complaints related to product quality and ensure timely resolution. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management or related major; Master's degree preferred. 10+ years of quality management experience in the automotive manufacturing industry. Proven experience leading a quality team and managing quality control processes. Strong understanding of quality management systems and methodologies (e.g., ISO/TS 16949, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to influence all levels of the organization. Proficient in using quality management software and data analysis tools.
