    Position : Accounting Supervisor ~ Manager
    Locaion : Downers Grove, IL


    Job Summary:
    This position is responsible for creating accurate and timely financial records and supervising accounting department personnel.

    Summary of Essential Job Functions:
    – Analyze accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards defined within the department and company
    – In charge and ensure audits are completed quarterly, annually, or as needed
    – Monitor and supervise cost accounting to have manufacturing cost monthly
    – Actively involved in the monthly and yearly closing financial process
    – Maintain financial records for the company by analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts
    – Manage SAP FI/CO module data, while monitoring other modules
    – Set up annual business plan and analyze variances throughout the year
    – Recommends best courses of action based on business plan and financial analysis
    – Control budget plan and provide monthly expense updates
    – Correct errors by posting/adjusting journal entries as necessary
    – Data entry processing of journal entries, capital expenditure items
    – Maintains general ledger accounts by reconciling accounts receivable detail and control accounts; adjusting entries for amortization prepaid; analyzing and reconciling retainage and accounts payable ledgers; preparing fixed asset depreciation and accruals;
    – Secures financial information by completing database backups
    – Prepare financial reports monthly, quarterly and annually for special projects and senior management;
    – Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures; complying with federal, state and local financial legal requirements
    – Maintains confidentiality of company financial information
    – Completes major or special projects as assigned
    – Prepare monthly closing reports and create financial reports according to corporate time lines
    – This position is expected to work extended hours during month closings, yearly closings and audits, and as business needs require
    – Create and implement policies, procedures and forms as necessary
    – Works with the Sr. Finance Manager on appropriate fiscal strategies
    – Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include s interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
    – Knowledge of financial and managerial accounting;
    – Knowledge of General Ledger practices;
    – Computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Excel;
    – Previous experience with SAP
    – Ability to work extended hours beyond the normal work schedule during closings and audits, as needed
    – Ability to meet deadlines
    – Ability to work independently and in a team environment
    – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    – Bilingual in Korean and English preferred
    – Must be able to maintain confidentiality

    Physical Demands & Work Environment:
    – Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however business needs may require additional hours worked.
    – Ability to remain in a stationary position up to 95% of shift;
    – This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets and fax machines
    – Occasional travel is expected for this position
    – This position supervises the work of others
    Education and Experience:
    – Master’s degree
    OR
    – Bachelor’s degree & 3 years of directly related experience
    OR
    – Associate’s degree & 6 years of directly related experience
    OR
    – High school diploma/GED & 8 years of directly related experience
    – Manufacturing accounting knowledge experience required
    – Bilingual in Korean and English preferred
    – SAP experience preferred
