Now Editing “Accountant – Private 커리어 질문입니다” Name * Password * Email Topic Title (Maximum Length 80) 안녕하세요, 처음 커리어 시작할때부터 여기서 도움을 많이 받았고 지금 첫번째 직장을 그만두고 새로운 직장을 찾고 있습니다. 일단 제 상황은 UC중 한개에서 회계를 전공했고 (b.a.), 동네 작은 public accounting firm에서 1년 반 정도의 경력이 있습니다. Audit부터 택스에 북키핑에 전체적으로 다 했고요. 아무리 봐도 저랑 퍼블릭은 맞지 않는거 같아서 private으로 알아보고 있는데 아무래도 상황이 상황인지라 잡 찾는게 녹록치 않네요. 다행인건 이번주에 한 회사에 인터뷰가 잡혔는데요, 잡 description이 좀 애매해서 말이지요.. 저는 그래도 회계 전공에 퍼블릭 경력도 무지 짧지만 있긴 하니 private을 가도 GL쪽 일을 하는 Staff accountant를 생각하고 있었습니다. 그런데 이번에 인터뷰 잡힌 회사의 description이 뭔가.. data entry? 느낌이 강하더라고요, 포지션 이름도 accountant 1이니 가장 말단인거 같으니 뭐 당연한가 싶기도 하지만... AR /AP clerk?는 아닌데... 되게 회사의 전반적인 잡다한 것들을 input?하는거 같더라고요. 대부분 뭐 vendor invoices들을 reconcile한다거나,.. 그나마 회계랑 연관되있는 잡들이 아래와 같습니다. (관련 없는 것들도 한두개 있긴 하네요) - Prepares month end journal entries for posting to the General Ledger by, reconciling General Ledger expense accounts, preparing worksheets, submitting worksheets for management approval, and entering in the accounting system as directed. - Prepare monthly indirect cost allocation. - Assist with annual budget process and forecasting. - Assist with troubleshooting on system issues for Medical billing - Prepares and researches needed documentation for all audits required. - Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigates issues as required. 아무리 봐도 좀 clerk스러운거 같은데 커리어적으로 좋지 못한 선택일까요? requirement도 "2 - 5+ years working knowledge of General Ledger: AP, AR, Journal entry and account reconciliations." 이런 문구가 있고 딱히 general accounting 경력을 요구하지는 않고요. 사실 제가 경력이 있다고 해도 다들 아시다시피 1년 반정도 경력은 ㅠㅠ 제가 부족한게 가장 크지만 이제 뭘 알아가는 정도거든요,... 글이 워낙 장황한데 "Prepares month end journal entries for posting to the General Ledger by, reconciling General Ledger expense accounts, preparing worksheets, submitting worksheets for management approval, and entering in the accounting system as directed." 이부분이 특히 궁금하네요.. 제가 보기엔 GL accounting이 맞는거 같으면서도.... 혹시 도움 주실수 있는분들 계시면 부탁드리겠습니다.. 코로나 조심하시고 건강하시길 바랍니다.
