— Toyota’s new Columbus, Indiana (Greenfield Manufacturing Entity)
Location: Columbus, Indiana (On-site/Hybrid preferred)

Team Role: Core Architect for the new company (0→1)
You’re not here to “fix old systems,” but to define the enterprise’s technological framework for the next 10–15 years.
Job Mission (Why this role exists)
The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for defining, designing, and implementing the new company’s overall enterprise technology architecture, ensuring:
Core capabilities such as manufacturing, supply chain, quality, finance, and human resources are scalable from day one.
Deep integration of IT and OT, rather than operating in silos.
All system construction serves the business, rather than hijacking it.
In short:
You decide what this company will “look like” in the future.
Core Responsibilities (What you will actually do)
1. Enterprise-level Overall Architecture Design (Top-down)
Design the overall architecture for Business / Application / Data / Technology.
Define the target architecture and 3-5 year evolution path.
Build a replicable and scalable standard blueprint for Toyota’s global factories.
2. Manufacturing & Supply Chain Digital Architecture
Lead the integration architecture of systems such as ERP (SAP S/4HANA), MES, WMS, QMS, and PLM.
Connect OT → MES → ERP → Analytics.
Perform system-level design for highly automated and lean manufacturing environments.
3. Data and Integration Architecture

Support future capabilities such as AI, prediction, and intelligent scheduling
4. Technology Governance and Standards
Establish architectural principles, technology selection criteria, and security and compliance frameworks
Evaluate SaaS/Cloud/On-premises/Hybrid architecture solutions
Prevent the typical large-company problem of “each department buying its own system”
5. High-Level Dialogue and Cross-Departmental Influence
Direct dialogue with manufacturing, supply chain, finance, HR, and quality leaders
Translate “technical language” into “business decisions”
Become a trusted technical partner for business leaders
What kind of person are we looking for (This is not for everyone) Hard Skills
10+ years of enterprise-level IT/digitalization experience
5+ years of practical experience in Enterprise/Solution Architecture

Deep understanding of:
ERP (primarily SAP)
MES/OT systems
Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) (Any)
System Integration and Data Architecture
Soft Skills (More Important)
Able to work in a 0→1 environment, rather than waiting for demands.
Able to challenge the business and be accepted by it.
Have a “long-term” mindset, rather than a short-term delivery orientation.
A strong commitment to standardization and scalability.
Why this position is so valuable:
Not a maintenance role, but a role definition role.
Directly involved in designing the new company’s DNA.
Technical decisions that will impact the next decade or more.
Standing at the intersection of manufacturing and digitalization.
This type of role is almost non-existent in mature companies,
