다름이 아니라…제가 485를 진행중에 RFE의 내용을 확인 했습니다.
일단 저는 한국에서 현역으로 복무를 1989.5부터 1991.7 했습니다. 보직은 보이었습니다.
 
그런데…I-485  Form을 작성하다가 보면 질문 15 와 18번에 보면 이런 내용이 있습니다.
15. Have you EVER
a. Served in, been a member of, assisted in, or participated in any military unit, paramilitary unit, police unit, self-defense unit, vigilanta unit, rebel group, guerrilla group, militia, or insurgent organization? Yes or No
b. Served in any prison, jail, prison camp, detention facility, labor camp, or any other situation that involved detaining persons? Yes or No
18.Have you EVER received any type of military, paramilitary, or weapons training?
Yes or No
 
저는 그 질문이 한국에서 군대를 갔다오면 Yes라고 적어야 하는지 미처 인지 하지 못했고 No에 체크를 했습니다. 485 접수 하고 며칠 후 잘못을 발견하여 변호사에게 연락하여 변호사가 그것에 대한 draft를 작성하여 interfile했다고 합니다.
 
이민국에서 온 내용은 이렀습니다.
At the top of the third page of your application the instructions emphasize that “any military service” is to be listed. You reported “none.” In reponse to question 15 on the form you reported that you have never served in any military unit and response to question 18 you reported that you have never received any type of military or weapons training. In general, such service and training is mandatory for South Korea males. Why were you exempted?
 
oversight에 했다는것에 대한 소견서와 함께 병역 증명서를 제출할까 생각중입니다.

이러한 경우 소견서를 써보신 분이 있으실 것으로 알고있는데요, 어떻게 쓰셨는지 또 결과는 어떻게 되었는지…
