* 쿼타를 면제받는 비영리 단체

or (C) a nonprofit research organization or a governmental research organization (비영리 연구 단체, 정부 연구 기관)즉, 모든 비영리 단체가 해당 되는 것은 아닙니다. 예를 들어서, 일반 정부 기관, 초중고 학교, 교회, 한인회, 일반 봉사단체와 같은 비영리 단체는 해당이 되지 않아서 쿼타의 적용을 받습니다. 그러므로, 그냥 ‘비영리 단체’라고 부르는 것보다는 ‘대학/연구소’라고 부르는 것이 더 좋을 것입니다.
