Okay, help me out here. Bernie Sanders won 55.7% of the vote, Hillary Clinton won 44.3%. Bernie Sanders won 10 counties, Hillary Clinton won 5, and 8 counties were a tie. Now, Wyoming has 14 pledged delegates, 55.7 of 14 is 7.798. Now you can’t have .798 of a delagate, so round it to 8 and Hillary would get 6.
Since Bernie won 10 counties Hillary won 5 and tied in 8, it would be fair to give half the tied counties to Bernie and half the tied counties to Hillary. Bernie would have 14 counties to Hillary’s 9. Distributing the delegates based on geography would yeild 60.9% for Bernie and 39.1% for Hillary or 8.526 delegates for Bernie and 5.474 delagates for Hillary. Once again rounding, Bernie should get 9 and Hillary 5.
So, how in the heck does Hillary walk away with as many pledged delegates as Bernie? No matter how you slice it Bernie should get either 8 or 9 and Hillary should get either 6 or 5. Somebody from Wyoming wanna help me out here?
