POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for analyzing and documenting procurement options for materials, goods and services required by the organization as related to import and export.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Research and compare suppliers’ proposals for cost, quality and effectiveness for purchases.
• Determine the most compatible and cost-effective solution for the company based on the project requirements.
• Tracking of inbound material containers, up to and including final delivery scheduling
• Customs documentation review
• Propose vendor changes based on evaluation and level of importance to organization’s business strategy.
• Work to minimize expenses and increase profitability while communicating with upper management.
• Communicate directly with headquarters to integrate and support global logistical options.
• Follows all company, industry standard and OSHA safety requirements including IATF 16949 standards.
• Support other departments, as needed.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor of Science in supply chain management or related field.
• 4+ years purchasing experience in a manufacturing or high-tech environment.
• Chemical purchasing/importation experience preferred
• Fluency in Korean language preferred.
