Main Responsibilities: – Track the progress of newly launched platform programs and lead the effort in securing customer specific awards. – Support the development and implementation of new product manufacturing processes. – Design and develop assembly processes for enhancements, engineering changes, new products. – Participate in design reviews and offer advice on the reliability of the design. – Evaluation of new products, equipment, and design improvements, which support cost reduction efforts, improved quality, manufacturability, reliability, and safety. – Assist in developing the best standards for quality, process flow, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvements. – Evaluate and approve all engineering changes and process deviations. – Responsible for gage design & approval. – Proactively communicate potential quality problems to core team and all those involved. – Assist with the development of standardized work procedures and assist in training employees on new concepts and procedures.
