지지난주에 회사 선임 변호사를 통해서 PERM접수 했습니다.
이후에 같은 변호사한테 연락이 왔는데 I-485를 자기들과 할려면 5월 20일 까지 2000불을 내라고 하더군요. 제가 궁금한건… LC를 받을지 아닌지도 모르는 상황에서 덜컥 돈부터 내기가 뭐해서요. 원래 그렇게 진행 하는건가요?
Nope. Typically there are two (LC and i140/485 concurrent) or three steps for payment. At each step, you may pay a half of payment for that step ONLY at starting to prepare document and other half when documents are ready to be maild. And of course, everything is negotiable.
You better start to look out for good lawyer just in case. You can change your lawyer anytime you want as long as it doesn’t affect your relationship with sponsor company.
