Now Editing “어느 외국인 엔지니어의 구직 경험” Name * Password * Email Topic Title (Maximum Length 80) LinkedIn 어느 그룹에 올라온 글입니다. 구직 경험을 공유했네요. 필리핀 사람이고 영주권 여부는 언급 안했지만, 미국에서의 경력이 없으니 없을 것 같아요. 필리핀 사람들 원래 영어 잘하고 싱가폴과 캐나다에서 근무했기 때문에 의사소통 자체는 완벽할테죠. 놀라웠던 것은 분야가 IT/Network Engineer이고, 인턴/정규직 근무했던 회사들이 모두 빵빵한 글로벌 대기업들인데 엄청나게 많이 지원하고서야 겨우 되었어요. 회사들은 전공 관련 없는 사람도 누구나 다 아는 큰 회사들에서 일했었네요. 15년 경력을 가진 Sr Engineer였습니다. 이제 영어는 기본이고 영주권이 훨씬 중요해 보이고, 많이 지원하는 게 장땡인 듯 하네요. 다른 구직자분들도 참고하세요. It's my turn now... After 3-5 months of job search, I finally got a job that I like. I have no secret. I just play with numbers: 119 applications, 7 rejection letters / notice, 5 first round interviews then ignored, rejected or still in progress, 2 reached final interview but failed to get an offer, 1 lovely job offer after 4 interviews (1 phone/screening, 1 behavioral, 1 technical, 1 panel).
