이번에 세금 신고하면서 PA 주의 세금환급을 요청했는데요. 다음과 같은 메일을 받았습니다. 저는 지금 j-1이고요 2006년 8월에 미국에 왔습니다. tax 신고한 돈을 갂는다는 얘기인가요?

Dear taxpayer:
This is in reference to your PA individual income tax return for the year shown above.
Income from scholarship, fellowiships, stipends and grants is taxable if services are rendered to the institution providing the award. please provide a conneted description of the duties, obligations activities and conditions conneted with the award. This letter must be signed by the Department head or institution official stating the amount of the award and that:

(1) The institution receives little or no benefit from the services performed.
(2) The activities of the recipent are so closely supervised by regular faculty members so as to constitute a berden on the institution offsetting any benefit it may receive.
(3) The recipient is a candidate for a degree and the same activites are required of all candidate for that degree.
