7월 15일 만료되는 reentry permit이 있어서 2년짜리를 재신청하려는데, 나오는데 걸리는 시간이 곤란하게 작용해서, 만료일까지 기다리기 보다 15일 정도 일찍 신청하려구요. 가능할까요?

I-131 instruction에 “A reentry permit may not be issued to you if you have already been issued such a document and it is still valid, unless the prior document has been returned to the CIS…”라고 하는데, 신청시에 예전 document를 return으로 동봉하면 굳이 만료일까지 기다릴 필요가 없다고 생각되는데, 워낙 CIS 마음을 읽는 것이 힘들어서, 혹시 경험 있으신 분들의 조언을 부탁드립니다.
