미국 전역에 존재하는 한인 커뮤니티 사이트에 렌트나 서블릿 광고 올리신분들은 특히 조심하세요. 제가 2년전에 당하기도 하였지만, 최근에 방 광고를 올렸는데 동일한 수법을 펼치는 사기꾼으로 부터 메일이 또 왔습니다.

I graduated  a masters of science in International Marketing from Calstatela in Los Angeles.  I am currently in Europe for my internship for over couple of months now. I used to work as a marketing communication manager in a small company in LA before I went for my internship in Europe Foreign Affairs offices scattered around the world. I really enjoy traveling, and enjoy meeting people across the world.  I am very neat, quiet, easy going, friendly, and honest person. I will like to know the rent fee per month plus the utilities, the description of the Place, pictures, size of the place, and the equipment's in there, the closest market, mall and church around.  I will also like to know if I can make an advance payment ahead my arrival that will be as a kind of commitment that I am truly coming over and for you to hold the place for me. I'm coming to the states to as soon as I am done with my internship in two or 3 weeks time.  I will be glad if you can get back to me with a complete email with description of the place. 본인은 26살에 한국에서 자랐으며 로스엔젤레스에서  생활하다가 유럽에서 인턴중인데 곧 미국으로 돌아간다면서 터무니없는 액수의 첵을 보냅니다. 그러면서 일부분의 금액을 다시 자기한테 송금해달라고 합니다.
은행에 디파짓 시키면 바운스첵 납니다. 왜냐면 가짜 수표니까요. 그러고 난후 잠적합니다.

한번 당한 저로써 스팸신고...세시간 전에 또 메일이 와서 한두번 속느냐 적당히 하라는 식으로 답장 보냈지만  혹시라도 렌트 광고 올리신 분들은 이런 메일을 받으셨다면 즉시 스팸신고 하시고, 메일로 주고받고 하시는 분들이거나 첵을 우편으로 받으신 분들이 계시다면 절대 은행에 디파짓 하지 마시기 바랍니다.  또한 사기꾼은 바운스첵 나는것을 노리고 있습니다.

아 추가로.. 이메일 내용은 이메일 주소랑 사람 이름 빼고 100% 일치합니다.

북미 전역 한인 커뮤니티 웹사이트에서 활동하는 아주 악질적인 사기꾼이니 걱정스러운 마음에 여기에 글을 게시합니다.
