There are a couple of options:
1) GLD (Gold ETF, SPDR Gold Trust): it trades like stock, but the ETF is backed by real gold bullions, so it is effectively the same as buying gold bullion yourself.
2) Invest in gold mining companies such as ABX AEM, GG, NEM (just to name a few…)
