The position also has an active role in ensuring all human resource functions are complying with local, state and federal regulations. Minimum Qualifications Education –Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related area. 2 years experience in Human Resources or similar position. Experience using HR software and HRIS databases. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Effective HR administration and people management skills. Full understanding of HR functions and best practices. Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines. Fantastic organizational and time management skills. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Professional integrity and sense of responsibility and accountability. Essential Functions Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests. Support HR manager in educating employees on and enforcing company policies. Maintain and organize employee files and records. Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas. Help with new-hire procedures, including organizing employee orientation, creating new employee files, administering employee handbooks, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is properly filled out and submitted to appropriate persons. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs and functions including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, morale, training, and development. Produce and submit reports on general HR activity. Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices. Foster positive employee relations and work to solve any employee issues that surface.
