Job Description Title: Mechanical Engineer Department: Maintenance Reports To: Maintenance Manager Classification: Salary Scope of Responsibility: The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for Evaluating, Conceptualizing, Designing, and Implementing Machines and Processes to Extend Machinery Life, and Reduce Machinery Downtime. Roles and Responsibilities: · Analyze Breakdowns for Root Cause Failure. · Design and Implement Solutions for Root Cause Failures. · Design and Implement PM Procedures to eliminate Machinery Failures · Evaluate and Upgrade Current Maintenance PM Program · Offer Technical Expertise to Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians · Work with Contractors on Mechanical Projects · Perform and Supervise Maintenance Mechanical Projects and Repairs · Reduction of Utility Costs by PM implementation and Mechanical Repairs · Perform Equipment and Process Troubleshooting to Resolve Issues · Provide Input for the Maintenance Budget Qualifications: · Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Related Field · 2-5 years’ Experience Working in an Engineering Field · Experience using CAD Software such as Solid Works, AutoCAD, or similar. · Exceptional Technical and Problem-Solving Skills · Ability to Communicate effectively and clearly. · Skilled in Microsoft Office, Word, PPT, ETC. · Knowledge of Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and other Mechanical Engineering Concepts. · Boiler, Steam, Air Compressor, and other Utility Background a Plus.
