You should make sure if you can install it. I tried several time to install it but there a few related construction codes & I could not install it because of that. 1st, laundry room should be around the place you wish to install softener. This is because, the dirty waster softener generates should be separated from normal sewerage and it should be hooked up to drainage of laundry room. 2nd, you have get water softener with correct inlet & outlet pipe size. My house has 1.25 inch plumbing but most of the water softeners have inlet & outlet pipe of the size less than that. If you install water softener with smaller pipe, it slows down waster flow and reduce pressure. If you have water filter, it may not work with less water pressure. For my case, water softener with such a pipe size is categorized as commercial, which is very expensive. 3rd, you can’t use softened water to your flowers. flowers will get so much sodium and they will die. That’s what I can think of today. Good luck.

연수기 설치에 관한 자세한 설명감사합니다. 그럼 연수기 제품선택에
관해서 궁금한데요.
말씀하신데로 구형 모델이자 예전에 많이 사용했던 additive 인 소금을 사용하는것이
있고 요즘 각광받는 potassium 제품이 있는데 전자를 사용하면 피부에 Na, 즉 염분이
남기때문에 건강에 해롭습니다. 그래서 potassium 미네랄 성분을 첨가제로 많이
사용한다고 하는데 Sears 에 Kenmore 제품이 있고, 딜러들이 판매하는 PGI 나 Culligan(?)
제품은 성능이 더 우수하다고 하는데 어떤 제품을 선택을 해야할지 모르겠습니다.

1. 님께서는 설치하는데 전문가이신것 같은데 제품선택은 어떻게 하셨나요..?
2. 연수기 사용을 하면 정말 한 6개월지나면 피부가 윤기가 나는등 효과를
볼수 있습니까 ? California 물은 석회성분이 너무 많아 샤워후 피부가 건조해지고
피부노화의 원인이라고 하잖아요. 식기등에 남는 허연 자국들도 그렇고 특히
bathtub 등에 비누와 화학작용을 해서 허연 찌꺼기같은 침전물이 생기기고 하고..

Actually, I am not expert & still researching but I just like to point out a few things before you go too further.

1. I searched internet & found a few professional brand. I don’t recall the brand name correctly but, I can provide you later. GE & Kenmore breaks a few years down the road. From the internet, they said system last 2 or 5 years only. That seems to much.
2. I installed shower filter instead of water softener since it’s cheaper & easier as of now. It works very very well. I got lots of skin trouble and went to doctor a few times. Now I don’t have any problem on my skin. That’s why I keep trying to install one though pretty difficult now. The last resort is to hire plumber & makes hookup in the garage & costs a thousdand. I am saving now. ^.^
3. Potassium is also cancerous material. It’s not completely safe. I would go by sodium since it’s more familiar with human body. You can change any time between two. So it’s not a concern at all.

만약 사실이라면 Potassium 에서 크게 궤도 수정을 해야 할것 같습니다.
물론 소금으로 쉽게 바꿀수 있지만요…
