I am sure many families from California have pondered the same question of moving their family to states like Texas or Georgia with high-quality education and conservative family values with reasonable home prices. Over the past 6 years, I've visited cities such as Frisco Texas, Cary North Carolina, and Johns Creek Georgia. I wanted to move to a city where a Korean American family of 4 can live comfortably with a single income. We decided to move to an unincorporated part of Marietta Georgia. More specifically, Lassiter High School district in the East Cobb. The area is centrally located to all major Atlanta attractions and easy drive to Korean grocery stores and restaurants. Yet, the school represented a balanced student body, roughly 69% White and 7% Asian with friendly teaching staff. During our school visit, everyone was noticeably nicer. The average home price in the area is around $500k vs $790k in Alpharetta/Johns Creek. However, we liked homes and neighborhoods around Lambert High School district in Suwanee the most but did not want to be at a school with a majority of Indian students.
