Parents cannot be added as dependents, thus cannot be on employer sponsored insurance. OP should have gotten the insurance with high premium in US for reasonable out of pocket max for parents, and that much of premium could have bought the equally or better private insurance in Korea (though not out of pocket max but one time payment, etc).
