If true there is something to be said for having a simple automobile. My aunt was thinking about buying a new car and selection of HRVs was actually pretty good. There were still CRVs but this was in southern CA which this market I think is more fuel economy sensitive. Very few civics and accords at that time. Partially related I thought I had heard from the bodyshop certain parts like power tailgate actuators had a roughly one year quoted lead time.
