Not a lot. No, you are wrong.
I don’t know what undergraduate did you attend-I’m guessing at least it should be UPenn and over-but the entrance of Wall Street is not easy. My school was NYU stern, and a lot of smart-ass Koreans failed to enter Wall Street either because their English sucked, or they did not know how to network. Weren’t they smart? Hell yea they were intelligent, working hard staying at library till 2 am to finish their group projects that had been jacked up by his group members, and getting 3.8 and above GPA until their senior year.
Although.. let’s say they succesfully got a front office job from Wall Street. Congratulation! From now on, you are gonna be stuck at the office from 9 to 11 or 12 working on shits that you have no idea, while your bosses are also busy that they have no time to care you that you have to figure out how to do your job inefficiently. There is a reason for giving 150k to inexperienced, young and naive smart undergraduate foreigners.. I don’t know. At least throughout my college life, and from what I have seen my colleagues and friends working either in Wall street or nearby finance company, their life looks miserable. They always wanted to get the fuck out of there after they get experiences.
But in terms of saying only STEM is worth and the only way for international students are definitely wrong. I agree with that. But your way of saying is like, the life in Wall Street is really wonderful, and I don’t agree with that.
