Or pay someone with such expericence for few hours to discuss the matter ( consulting fee ? ) 2 - Let the lead teach the new commers, don't waste your time and energy on teaching every individual. If you hire the right one, they can pull it off 3 - Depends on the project size, style, biz culture ... There is no right or wrong here. But assuming it's going to be more like startup environment. Again, find someone who can help you even if you have to pay them out of your own pocket. 4 - Yes. In the beginning it would be difficult you and everyone to get used to tools and sync everything but once settled down, it will make everyone's life easier. Start with something small and simple and change or replace as the project goes. 5 - IMPORTANT ! !! If you want to be the lead , make your self the main person who report to your boss and make the team's communication go through you. I know it may seem like a waste of time but controlling the communication channel is vital if you want to lead and stay on top. Some bosses may want to micro manage in the beginning but as time goes you and your boss may fine a simpler and more efficient method to communicate. Create some plans/options and discuss with your boss which method he/she would prefer, let them decide and be responsible for their actions I agree to the terms of service Comment
