I've been given education in Korea uptil 10th grade then in states afterward. I totally understand how hard it is actually. Because I am almost in same shoes except I am doing alright with my parents and I still have some money left in my bank account. Visa is always hard. Korea government, laypeople are not fond of foreigner and especially folks like us. What I would recommend is... actually try to get a ticket to Guam or Saipan. Though you are at late 20s. Korean tourists who are residing at those places, Always wish to hire a Korean, but legally work permited people. I know it takes long time. but really.... those tourist spots always want to hire a Korea..ethnic people. I understand you may not wish to participated the armed forces. If it is the pay that hinders you from joining the army. Join the airforce and become an airline pilot. 8 years is long. but, at least for next 10 years. They are hiring. You need to break the chain that binds you within Korea. Try to contact write to local Korean folks in saipan or Guam.. Once you stabilize, get education in somehow. vocational training is good.
