You're judging one's moral values by one's management of money. Not everyone is like that. I don't think you're selfish. You are just much more materialistic than your girlfriend. You're saving up money and hangs up on it because you feel that one's value correlates to one's bank account size. Unless you're willing to broaden your mind and ready to accept different views of life and money, please don't get married. You will continue to judge her on how she manages money and she will continue to resent such unfair judgement coming from a materialist person. But perhaps, you're attracted to her for the very reason that she is not materialistic because you know that subconsciously, there is more to our lives than just money.
