Unfortunately, these were not zero cross-over types. I didn't know whether it would have any meaningful effect on the Class AB RF output or not (some ppl claims it does), but it would have certainly created hashing to nearby receivers, if no additional filtering was employed. I opted to use a mechanical relay. We typically use reed relays for low power (up to about 100W) signal switching, low latency switching and vacuum relays for high voltage/power switching (order of few KW) . PIN diodes are also often used for RF signal routing. For generic switching circuits (e.g. bias), power mosfets do a good job. I do see a lot of SSR uses in control applications.
