Name * Password * Email I had attended a Korean church for a long time, but at one point we've realized that it wasn't helpful in fulfilling our spiritual needs and also we had little to no chance to be involved in the ministry. It wasn't like this for the first 15 years or so, but we got older and the church also changed. We tried several churches and eventually settled on one with a nice pastor who delivers a great sermon every week and very motivated and involved congregation. This transition wasn't too satisfactory for kids though. The Sunday school programs are there, but are not something well organized. My kids didn't want to go back, but didn't like the new church either. The older one quickly adapted and start attending the adult services with us. The younger one struggled and we eventually let him attend another church, which is known to have a great youth program. He is much happier now and I feel grateful to the church on providing the much needed christian education. We share and talk about faith and issues more often in the family nowadays. Their prior experiences in the Korean church are not all that negative. it's just that they were growing and needed a different kind of education and support. In some sense, that was also the case for us adults. Many churches have multiple services with varying focus and styles. You need to pick the right one for you and your family.
