Also they pursue high GPA s. Are the school ranking and GPA important to get jobs in the U.S.? I recommend you to ask the same question to Americans, especially professionals in your field. In the U.S, most companies consider job applicants' work experiences more important than school ranking and GPA. To get a good job in the U.S. after you graduate, you should start your career at least after your junior year. Many American students start their careers when they are sophmores or freshmen even when they are in high school. That is why many foreign students, especially east Asians, fail to get jobs in the U.S. after they graduate. They just pursue boosting their GPAs.
