저도 미국 교수님들께 여쭤보니 영주권 등 관련 사항에 대해 전혀 모르시는 눈치여서 신경 쓰지 않고 있었는데, 한 학교에서 지원 후 dean 이 이런 메일을 보냈더라구요:
I wish to inform you that ** employs only U.S. citizens and lawfully authorized non-U.S. citizens, and all new employees must demonstrate employment eligibility verification as required by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. In addition, ** policy requires all new employees to pass a background review that includes a criminal history check as a condition of employment.
이게 영주권이 반드시 있어야 된다는 뜻인지 좀 애매해서 걱정이 됩니다.
