DMV requires minimum of 2 proof of address, for example, 1. Bank Statements 2. Utility Bills 3. Insurance with your address written. All the above usually takes a month to print out a new statements and bills. Also, you need to visit Office of Social Security and get a Letter of Ineligibility (for F1). You need to visit this office early in the morning when the office opens. Otherwise, you will spend whole lot of time just sitting. Call your local DMV and ask them about the translation of your Korean DL. The requirement might be different from States to States. When I applied for one in Michigan, I had to translate by myself and get that notarized. After you've got all these, you will go to DMV and take the written test. After you pass the written test, show them the translation and your Korean DL. You will get a temporary DL. Take the temp. DL to the dealer and start your shopping.
