I had the same case. I went to the family court in downtown and filled out the form called “temperary gardianship application”. You don’t need any documents, it is all about your and kid’s parents’ personal information. The fee is usually 150 dollars but I didn’t pay that because I explained my sister is a housewife in Korea and zero income.
