According to your lawyer, USCIS should stop receiving petitions, but they said they will continue to accept petitions. Either your lawyer told you an fiction-based assumption, or you’re spreading a rumor;;;

I just reconfirmed with my lawyer wishing he could be wrong but unfortunately, they will soon have a news release to notify that they stop receving petitions and start the lottery process. Please see the other report on this that I posted above.

I think you don’t know what exactly happened last year. Accroding to my lawyer, It took at least 3-4 business days to count the received petitions that have been filied since April 1st. Which mean even if the final receipt counts will be different from what they assume they have recevied and it already exceeds the quotas, they don’t release the exact number because they can’t at this point.
