학교를 졸업하고 OPT 기간 중에 있다가 약혼자와 결혼을 하였습니다.(약혼자는 시민권자이구요).
I-765를 작성하다가 하나 궁금한 점이 있어서 이렇게 글을 올립니다.
OPT를 하면서 Employment Authorization Card를 받았는데, I-765를 작성할 때 ‘Permission to accept employment’에 체크를 해야할지, ‘Renewal of my permission to accept employment’에 해야할지 모르겠어서 질문 드립니다.
제 생각에는 Renew하는거 같은데 앞에 써 있는 설명을 보니
Renewal EAD: an EAD issued to an eligible applicant at or after the expiration of a previous EAD issued under the same category
이라고 나와 있더군요. ‘under the same category’가 조금 걸려서 어디에 해야할지 잘 모르겠습니다. 혹시 아시는 분 계시면 가르쳐 주세요.
