Cybersecurity Administrator (Entry-Level)

Location: Plymouth MI
Full-time/contract term, On-site
Salary: $55,000 – $60,000 (DOE)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Administrator (Entry-Level) to support IT security operations. This role is ideal for candidates looking to start and grow a career in cybersecurity while helping protect company systems, networks, and data.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor security alerts, logs, and systems for suspicious activity
Assist in incident response and basic threat investigation
Support vulnerability scanning and remediation efforts
Maintain and update security policies and documentation
Manage user access, permissions, and identity controls
Assist with endpoint protection tools (antivirus, EDR)
Support compliance and audit processes
Collaborate with IT teams on security best practices

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred
0–2 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or security
Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux environments
Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals (threats, vulnerabilities, risk)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications
CompTIA Security+, Network+, or similar certifications
Exposure to SIEM, endpoint security, or firewall tools
Internship or lab/project-based experience
