LOCATION: Gainesville, GASUMMARY:
The QA Inspector is responsible for conducting routine walkthrough inspections of the production floor, performing pre-operational checks, in-process quality inspections, and reviewing sanitation, temperature, and production records. This role ensures that products are manufactured in compliance with internal quality standards and food safety requirements (SQF/GMP). The QC Technician reports any deviations to the manager and supports corrective actions in collaboration with the production team.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Perform routine quality inspections throughout the production process to ensure compliance with internal quality standards and food safety requirements (SQF/GMP).
• Conduct pre-operational inspections to verify sanitation, equipment cleanliness, and readiness prior to production start-up.
• Inspect in-process products for weight, appearance, texture, color, and specification compliance.
• Monitor and verify critical process parameters including temperature, time, and sanitation controls.
• Review and verify production, sanitation, and quality records for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify, document, and report non-conformances or deviations to the Quality Control Manager or QA team.
• Support corrective actions and preventive measures in collaboration with production personnel.
• Verify compliance with allergen control, hygiene, and GMP requirements on the production floor.
• Collect samples and perform basic quality or microbiological testing as required.
• Ensure adherence to all safety, hygiene, and regulatory requirements during inspection activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:• Bachelor’s degree in food science, or related field preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in food manufacturing or quality inspection preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or coursework in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Food Engineering, Microbiology, or a related field preferred.
• Prior experience in Quality Control (QC) or production operations within a food manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic understanding of food safety and quality systems such as GMP, SQF, and HACCP.
• Experience with, or the ability to learn, production processes, sanitation controls, and review of production records.
• Ability to perform visual inspections and basic quality evaluations, including color, texture, and overall appearance.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills, including inspection logs and reports.
• Ability to accurately report quality issues and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Flexibility to work in a manufacturing environment and adapt to production schedules, including shift work if required.
• Strong sense of responsibility for complying with food safety, hygiene, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry into internal systems.
• Bilingual in Korean and English
