Senior DevOps Engineer (Java & ETL)

Contract – 1 Year
Pay Rate: $9,000~/month (DOE)
Korean / English Bilingual Required

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to support the maintenance, development, and implementation of an internal intranet system. The ideal candidate will have a strong development background across multiple technical disciplines including J2EE web application development, Java client/server development, and database development.

This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance, ensure system reliability, and support enterprise-level applications.

Responsibilities

Maintain, enhance, and support internal intranet systems

Develop and maintain Java-based web applications and backend services

Work with the full J2EE technology stack to design and deploy enterprise applications

Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support DevOps and CI/CD processes

Design and maintain database structures and stored procedures

Support ETL pipelines and data integration processes

Ensure application reliability, performance, and scalability

Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues

Work with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and system enhancements

Required Qualifications

9+ years of experience in DevOps or web-based system development

Strong experience with Java development for intranet or enterprise systems

Experience with J2EE frameworks and technologies, including:

Spring

iBatis / Hibernate / JPA

JDBC

JSP / Servlet

Web Services

JMS

Experience with Application Servers, such as:

WebLogic

JBoss

Tomcat

Sun One J2EE WAS

Experience with front-end technologies, including:

HTML / DHTML

JavaScript

jQuery

AJAX

JSON

Strong experience with RDBMS database systems (Oracle, MS SQL, MariaDB, etc.)

Experience with database modeling and stored procedure development

Experience working with UNIX, Linux, and Windows Server environments

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Fluent in Korean and English

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with API development

Experience with ETL tools, such as:

Alteryx

Oracle Data Integrator

MS SQL SSIS

Experience with BI reporting tools, including:

Tableau

Microsoft Power BI

Familiarity with Samsung Global Systems (Next ERP / GSCM)

Understanding of the full ETL lifecycle, including:

Data analysis

Architecture and design

Data extraction and staging

Transformation

Testing and deployment
