Summary
The Administrator– High & Heavy position focuses on the development and expansion of heavy haul transportation services in the U.S. and cross-border regions. This role involves identifying customer needs in oversize/overweight cargo logistics, analyzing regulatory and routing constraints, and coordinating optimal transport solutions using specialized equipment and carriers.
Responsibilities
Manage, plan, and evaluate daily operations in collaboration with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers
Tracks orders and shipments and assists with tracing as needed
Monitor transportation quality, quantity, delivery times, and costs, resolving issues promptly
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve transportation effectiveness
Foster a customer-focused, positive work environment based on trust and respect
Maintain confidentiality regarding driver issues, rates, customers, and proprietary information
Assist in optimizing asset management and business utilization to minimize operational expenses
Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure trucks and trailers comply with federal, state, and local laws
Provide backup support to terminal supervision and administrative staff
Supervise Partners to ensure operations meet customer expectations safely and in compliance with regulations
Implement schedule and policy changes in collaboration with management
Collaborate with other managers, staff, accounting, and sales teams to implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives
Manage shipments end-to-end, from origins to delivery for International Ocean, Air, and Domestic shipments
Communicate all expectations to Carriers paying extra attention to special requirements, assuring the carrier can meet all requirements
Receives and processes various documents for accuracy, which requires operational knowledge of customers, carriers, and procedures
Enters various operational/customer data in systems, works to identify missing or potential operational or service concerns, and communicates with appropriate groups as necessary to resolve
It addresses various internal and external customer questions and concerns regarding shipments, billing, status, services, carriers, and other needs
Assists with running and summarizing operational reports and details; presents information to co-workers or supervisors are needed

$63,000-$69,000 annually (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
