Position Overview
The Company is seeking a Field Service Engineering Manager to serve as the primary on-site liaison between its customers, overseas R&D and suppliers, and local service providers in the energy storage industry. This role combines technical leadership, field execution, and customer engagement, ensuring successful commissioning and after-service operations for battery energy storage systems (BESS).
Responsibilities
– Serve as the main customer contact on-site, ensuring timely issue resolution and clear communication.
– Act as the primary liaison between customers, overseas engineers from R&D and suppliers, and local field service partners.
– Lead and coordinate field service engineers during commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and service activities.
– Provide direct technical support to resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues on-site.
– Oversee preventive maintenance, warranty support, and long-term service agreements.
– Ensure all operations comply with company standards, industry best practices, and safety protocols.
– Prepare daily technical reports for multiple stakeholders, keeping all teams informed of field activities and project status.
– Manage schedules, resources, and expectations across multiple stakeholders.
– Communicate field insights to overseas R&D to drive continuous improvement.
– Manage spare parts inventory with local service partner.Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technical field (or equivalent experience).
– 3+ years in field service, commissioning, or energy/power systems.
– Proven ability to act as primary on-site customer contact while leading technical teams.
– Strong expertise in troubleshooting and resolving electrical and mechanical systems.
– Experience managing field teams, including subcontractors or partner companies.
– Knowledge of BESS, inverters, and grid interconnection.
– Preferred safety certifications: NFPA 70E, LOTO, electrical/mechanical safety for battery systems; First Aid/CPR a plus.
– Proficiency in MS Office Suite; project management tools a plus.
– Bilingual in Korean and English required.
– Willingness to travel 70–90%, including multi-day or multi-week on-site assignments.Benefits
