LSES FSE Job description

Job requirements
The following duties are expected of the Field Services Engineer.
• Dispatch to project locations
• Troubleshoot operation of power conversion and battery storage systems when not operational
• Maintenance of equipment – including torque of connections, cleaning of filters, repair or
replace components
• PLC operation
• HMI/OIT operation
• Interface with the LS Energy Solutions design center
• BESS pre-commissioning and installation supervision
• BESS hot commissioning
• Communicate with local client staff
• Write reports to document project outcomes – defects reports, maintenance reports, and
commissioning reports
• Estimated travel: 70% to 90%
• Occasional overtime and weekend time will be required for this role

Preferred Skills
• Prior experience in field service operations
• Power engineering – drives, motors, and inverters
• Battery engineering and design
• PLC programming experience – CODESYS preferred
• HMI/OIT programming experience
• Safety systems operation – battery preferred
• Fire control systems design and operation
• PCS testing experience
• BESS testing experience
• Degree in engineering, computer science, or similar
