Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and outstanding automotive manufacturing director to be responsible for the operational strategy, capacity improvement and team management of the vehicle or key component production line. This position will directly lead the manufacturing department to promote production efficiency, cost optimization, quality control and employee safety, and ensure that products meet Toyota’s global standards and customer delivery requirements.

Main responsibilities:
Be fully responsible for the daily operation management of the manufacturing department, covering production planning, quality control, process optimization, personnel management and cost control

Lead multiple production lines (such as powertrain, battery system, frame welding, assembly, etc.) to achieve production targets and KPIs

Formulate and implement manufacturing strategies, promote smart manufacturing (Smart Manufacturing) and lean production (Lean Production)

Lead the implementation of Toyota’s core production systems such as TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), JIT (Just in Time), Kaizen, etc.

Promote cross-departmental collaboration, including engineering, quality, procurement and logistics, to ensure that products are delivered on time and in quality

Monitor key data of production operations, report to senior management regularly and provide improvement suggestions

Lead emergency event handling, supply chain abnormal coordination and rectification of major quality problems

Support new product launch (NPI) and equipment automation transformation projects

Job requirements:
Bachelor degree or above in engineering, machinery, vehicle engineering, manufacturing management or related majors

More than 10 years of experience in the automotive manufacturing industry, more than 5 years of experience in manufacturing management positions (manager/director)

In-depth understanding of the automotive industry’s production processes, quality systems (such as IATF 16949), EHS management

Proficient in lean production tools (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, value stream mapping, etc.)

Experience in team management, budget management and cross-cultural communication

Fluent in English, with excellent oral and written communication skills

Those who understand Japanese corporate culture or have experience in Japanese/Toyota factory management are preferred

Preferred conditions (bonus points):
Those with Toyota Production System (TPS) experience are preferred

Those with electrification production background (battery, BMS, hybrid system, etc.) are bonus points

Familiar with industrial automation, MES system and digital factory projects

Experience in overseas factory construction or transformation (Greenfield/Brownfield) is preferred

Vice President – Manufacturing Operations

Subordinate team size:
100-500 people or more (including supervisors/managers/engineers/front-line employees)
