Director of Smart Technology Manufacturing

Job Overview
Responsible for the overall management of the production and manufacturing process of LG’s smart technology products, including formulating production strategies, optimizing production processes, ensuring product quality and efficiency, and promoting the application and innovation of smart technology.

Main Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:

Formulate and implement manufacturing strategies for smart technology products to support the company’s overall business goals.

Identify industry trends and new technologies to promote innovation and upgrades in production lines.

Production Management:

Supervise daily production operations to ensure that production efficiency and output meet company standards.

Manage production resources, including the effective allocation of personnel, equipment and raw materials.

Quality Control:

Ensure that all products meet company quality standards and relevant industry regulations.

Drive continuous improvement of quality management processes to reduce defect rates.

Team Management:

Recruit, train and manage manufacturing teams to enhance the team’s professional skills and collaboration capabilities.

Build a good team culture to promote employee participation and motivation.

Cost Control:

Analyze production costs and look for opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining or improving product quality.
Monitor budget and ensure production activities are carried out within budget.
Cross-departmental collaboration:

Work closely with R&D, supply chain, sales and marketing departments to ensure smooth progress of products from design to market.
Participate in new product development meetings and provide professional opinions on manufacturing feasibility and production benefits.
Innovation and Technology Application:

Research and implement the latest smart manufacturing technologies, such as automation, artificial intelligence, etc., to improve production capacity and efficiency.
Track emerging trends in the field of smart technology and evaluate their application potential in the manufacturing process.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor degree or above in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain management or related fields, master’s degree preferred.
Work Experience: At least 10 years of manufacturing experience, including more than 5 years of management experience, smart technology or electronics industry background preferred.
Skills:
Familiar with manufacturing processes, quality management systems and cost control methods.
Excellent leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage multi-functional teams.
Good communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
In-depth understanding and interest in new technologies and smart manufacturing.
